Manager of your own life

Around New Year’s Eve, I wrote the following sentences in my notebook because I had heard that what you tell yourself and where you put your energy, that’s what happens. So I thought I’d give it a try. There was nothing to lose. I wrote down things that I knew were bigger than I would have dared to realise or even dream at the time. I didn’t dare right away.

But it is not the brave who fear nothing, but the brave who face their fears. To step in the direction of a truly organised (professional) life without fear. I was supposed to earn money, and the opposite (money earns me) sounded like a nice idea, but far away.

Today I remembered these sentences and discovered that this is the life I have shaped for myself, which at the time seemed a distant dream somewhere in the distant future. It hasn’t even been 8 months! Or come to believe that we shape our lives according to the attention (thoughts, words, actions) or energy we give.

I wrote to myself in December 2020:
“My life goes on with ease and joy. I am healthy, fit, full of harmony, peace and happiness. I attract inspiring people to me and provide them with value-creating inspiration. I live in abundance and as of today, money serves me. I am surrounded by people who help each other to make dreams come true. I am aware of my true worth. Life is great! I enjoy a self-directed flexible lifestyle.”

On the way to rethinking your life, there is inevitably a dark night of the soul, where you want to be alone, don’t want to communicate and want to be cocooned, but don’t want to be. You realise that something is happening to you, some old patterns and fears seem so comfortable to return to (life does offer options), but if you go through the inner turmoil and stay true to yourself even if you don’t know what’s out there. Just trust. No matter how much your knees shake. Then where you end up is worth the journey! During this period, those who have already been there or are at least half a step ahead, or even those who question your journey, will be particularly supportive. Both are very much needed! Enjoying every moment in a self-directed flexible lifestyle!
