What is this “holistic leadership trainer” – some esoteric fog?

I’ve been in the leadership training area for a solid four years now. About two years back Leena Kivisild tagged me with the title “Holistic Leadership Trainer.”

Both Leena and I have a background from the Holistic Institute in Tallinn, so we get the idea of what “holistic” truly means. But, every now and then, I see people assuming “holistic” is some kind of esoteric fog – you know, the raise-your-love-vibration-and-all-problems-will-be-solved type of approach with no connection with real business world.

This is the conclusion we came to a few days ago during a discussion in a training group. The participant discussed that as a manager he tends to take responsibility into his own hands, to be a constant hand in the machine of what team members do.
