Do you know that feeling when your body says “yes” before your mind catches up?

That’s what happened when I walked through the door as part of a workshop and saw Katriin Jüriska looking back at me with a cheerful smile. After spending a few weeks mulling over what to do about finding a co-host for the podcast “Leadership Without Leadership” and letting the matter just settle in the hope that the answer would come at the right time—it finally did!

It occurred to me later that Katriin and I have known each other for nearly 20 years, but we’ve always run into each other only very sporadically and by chance. One of my first podcast experiences was appearing as a guest on her show. But all those moments and our history only came back to me after I very quickly said “yes” to Katriin’s invitation to become her co-host that very same evening. The feeling came before the thought. And later, the idea of moving forward together made perfect sense. Every day, across three companies, Katriin puts into practice what I believe in when it comes to leadership—and what I constantly share with other leaders. As a leader, she has found herself having to resolve very complex situations and has trusted her instincts—even when there’s no obvious logic behind them—because her gut tells her that’s exactly what needs to be done.

Together with Reelika Jeferjev, we produced five seasons, 177 episodes, and over 55,000 listens. Thank you, Reelika, for this journey together!

Starting with Episode 178—that is, today—a new chapter begins. We’ll continue with the questions that keep me up at night when it comes to leadership: Why do the same problems keep recurring? What patterns are we perpetuating ourselves? And what does it take for something to truly change, to be transformed? How does everything I’ve studied in my doctoral program—and experienced myself as a leader—play out in other people’s practice? How can we use leadership to create a world that is an incredibly dynamic place where we can achieve our goals and, most importantly, grow and develop as human beings?

See you at the listening and viewing sessions!
