We have a creative crisis"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>This is a quote I heard one of the participants quote in turn. I was left thinking that it is a very true description of the mental heaviness that is rife in organisations. <br\/><br\/>Mental exhaustion does not just come from workload. Indeed, it often arises primarily because people are not creating. <br\/><br\/>Doesn&#8217;t create something that comes from the heart.<br\/>Doesn&#8217;t create something he puts himself into.<br\/>Doesn&#8217;t create something that is truly his own way.<br\/><br\/>We don&#8217;t get tired of doing the work, we get tired when our work doesn&#8217;t support the path we came here to walk.<br\/><br\/>\ud83c\udf00 What we call \u201cmental health\u201d is often a person who has lost touch with his or her creativity, his or her inner purpose, his or her own life purpose, and instead:<br\/><br\/>\ud83d\uded1 He has not been listened to and he has not listened to himself.<br\/>\ud83c\udfad He has had to take on roles that are not his own.<br\/>\u2699\ufe0f He has had to fit into the system, not be supported by it.<br\/><br\/>And so creativity is left somewhere&#8230; waiting. Imagine a world where leaders support their people to be creative. Where work is not just an activity, but an expression of self.  <br\/><br\/>\u2728 When a leader also allows himself to be uncontrolled, or trustingly creative, a new culture is born. A people-friendly culture. A creative culture.  <br\/><br\/>And there is no mental health crisis.
